Philippe: Next, coding scheme. Okay, so with EDSA Rehabilitation, ang coding scheme mangyayari is odd-even. Alright, so odd sa mga hindi alam, 1, 3, 5, 7, 9. And then even, 2, 4, 6, 8. Yung zero.

Mclaine: Kasama sa even.

Philippe: Kasama sa even. Okay. Sa mga hindi alam, kasama sa even. So tanda niyo. Pabor ba tayo dyan? Magugulo yung schedule natin, no? Oh gosh, ano ba? Yung Monday magiging Tuesday. Tama ba?

Mclaine: Parang base dun sa bagong scheme, pinaka-worst daw na ending plate is 3 and 7.

Philippe: Why?

Philippe: So ano ba siya yung new coding scheme? Is it, let’s say, 2 and 4? Or is it 1?

Mclaine: Parang MWF. Yes.

Philippe: Oh, that’s confusing. So MWF puro even. TTH, odd?

Mclaine: Teka, meron siyang bracket.

Gabh: Yung 1, 3, 5, and 7. No, sorry, 1, 3, 5, 7. The odd numbers would be the MWF. And for even, those are the ones na Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Philippe: Wala coding sa Saturday.

Gabh: Oh, sorry, no. Tuesday and Thursday lang.

Philippe: Tapos walang window. No more window.

Mclaine: Ah, wala na. So MWF is 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9. So TTHS is 0, 2, 4, 6, 8. Yes, Saturday.

Philippe: Included na. Oh, so may coding na tayo hanggang Saturday.

Mclaine: Yes.

Mclaine: So pinaka-open mo na lang talaga, Sunday. So yun ang hindi nila sinama.

Philippe: Okay.

Gabh: Well, I’m not sure if I saw a Facebook post, I think yesterday. They have a schedule na wherein, for example, I’m coding ng number 1. So yung last number ng plate ko is 1. So if it’s 1, so it’s MWF. If I’m coding ng Monday, so Tuesday, nakalagay sa Monday is no EDSA. That’s for Monday.

And then for Tuesday, nakalagay, tawag dito, okay EDSA. So dun kasama ng Monday, no EDSA, pero okay na parang as long as you don’t pass by EDSA. That’s the idea behind it. So kumbaga, you can still use your car as long as you don’t pass by EDSA.

Mclaine: Okay. So hindi siya talaga totally Manila-wide.

Gabh: Exclusively. Yeah, I think. I’ll look further.

Philippe: Actually, ganoon din naman even with our regular coding. For example, what’s today? Wednesday. Ano bang coding na Wednesday? Today?

Mclaine: Wednesday is, so 1, 3, 5, 7.

Philippe: Well, if you think about it, it doesn’t matter. As long as hindi ka mahuhuli, pwede ka lumabas. For example, wag ka mag-EDSA kasi mahuhuli ka, coding ka. Alam ko kasi Tuesday, 3. So mga 3 and whatever. Basta 3, hindi ka pwede lumabas ng Tuesday.

Pero pwede ka rin lumabas as long as hindi mo hit yung mga daan na may MMDA or Traffic Enforcer. I think it’s the same idea. Pero it’s so confusing. Dapat meron ano to. Saan makikita to?

Philippe: LTO? MMDA? I think MMDA website. Yes.

Mclaine: I think so.

Gabh: Uneven scheme.

Mclaine: I saw it in wheninmanila.com.

Philippe: When in manila.

Mcaline: Yeah.

Gabh: If you’re coding, okay ka. Pero nakalagay okay no EDSA.

Philippe: Interesting.

Mclaine: Nakalagay ba merong window? Before diba merong window?

Philippe: Wala na daw window.

Mclaine: So from 6am?

Philippe: Basta kung you can’t use your car the whole day. Wala nang 10am window until 5. Wala na yan. It’s confusing plus the NCAP plus the good luck to us.

Just make sure that you have the right information para pag lumabas kayo, there are certain days na hindi pwede mag-EDSA. There are certain days na pwede mag-EDSA. There are certain days na hindi ka pwede lumabas.

At remember walang window. Anything you guys wanna add? You know I feel like we’re not contributing to solutions or helping tips. What are your helping tips on this episode? Waka na lumabas.

Mclaine: Commute na lang. Commute yes. Let’s promote yung busway.

Philippe: Let’s promote public transportation?

Mclaine: Yes, local public transportation.

Philippe: Let’s promote the bus. Kasi the bus lane alone is very helpful. Let’s promote ride-hailing apps. O mag-angkas kayo. Or joyride. Or harapin yung isa?

Move it.

May motorcycle lane. Ah yung bicycle lane sa EDSA. Naku, traffic dun. Dun palang sa lane. Halo-halo na nga. I think ingat lang kayo kasi there’s gonna be more accident prone na. Pero nagsabay mo yung e-bike, yung bisikleta, yung motor in one small lane. Good luck.

Mclaine: Pero I guess since may NCAP, walang masyadong kamote.

To maximize.

Gabh: Same as before.

Philippe: Yeah, same as before. Yung mag-maximize kasi nila yung EDSA kasi it’s sagabal talaga.

Gabh: Congestion. Yan.

Philippe: Okay. Best tip, advice. Kung kaya nyo mag-work online, work online na kayo. If not, commute na lang kayo. Pag-tsagayan nyo na ng commute. But take the bus. If you guys wanna be more convenient at papasok naman kasi yung ano. Take the bus. Kung saan kayo bababa, let’s say Makati. Doon ka talaga mag-angkas. Less risk. Nahati mo na yung risk into half. So yun.

Mclaine: And leave early.

Philippe: Oo. Kung pasok nyo 8am, alis kayo 4am. International trip na. Four hours before. Parang airport na siya.

Gabh: And habaan yung pasensya.

Philippe: Ah, yan.

Mclaine: At magdala na ng almusal tanghalian.

Gabh: On-the-go food.

Philippe: On-the-go.
