Philippe: Is AI going to replace us?

Andrea: Mawawalan na ba tayo ng trabaho?

Philippe: Ah yun yung that’s the main question. So ah where do we start? Wow ang daming cheese. Ma cheesy pala to. Cheese cheese okay sponsored by Sino nag-sponsor nito? Sino yung business natin dito sa cheese?

Andrea: Yung mother namin.

Philippe: No way. Yes.

Andrea: Siya yung nag-make up. Oh.

Philippe: Tikman natin. Tikman natin yan si mother. Thank you. Thank you. Sige sige. Si we try may tissue dito. So So ang tanong, will AI replace uh Mamita for creating ano bakingada?

Philippe: Oo. Baka nga kasi traditional eh. Pero what what are our thoughts? Let’s siguro ano let’s let’s ask uh these guys over here just to see kasi Shane what do you do pa?

Shane: Um I’m an HR assistant po and procurement assistant.

Philippe: HR assistant procurement. So the main question is can we automate your job with AI? Is that possible?

Shane: Yes po. Definitely. Because ano po yung AI po um it helps to automate a repetitive task.

Philippe: Can we speak up kasi mahina itong ano itong meron silang wireless. Okay. Good, good, good, good. Yun po.

Shane: Um, yung AI po helps automate tasks po or yung mga repetitive task po like scheduling, um, email management, tapos po mga data entries. So, as an HR assistant po, ah malaking bagay po yung AI like um chat GPT.

Ah maalam na ng lahat. Uh when it comes po to email uh respond corresponding ah pag hindi po ako alam ah magre-rely or I will seek assistance po through chat GPT. magpa-prompt lang po ako ng correct um words para po mabigyan niya po ako ng ah appropriate input po para ah makapag-send po ako nung ah gusto ko pong email na ire-reply po sa mga applicants.

Philippe: Si Shane masyadong formal. Masyado ka formal?

Andrea: Nahiya siya nahiya siya. Kwentuhan lang tayo hindi to ano job interview. Pakita mo kung sino ka.

Philippe: Parang tell us what you do in your job. Pero yung tanong ko, expendable ka ba? Sa what do you think, Andrea?

Usually kasi naman ang client ganun eh ‘di ba out more of output base. Wala akong I don’t care how you get it done as long as you get it done.

Philippe: Oh, that’s an advantage in our industry. Mm. Okay. Okay. Ikaw bro Arnel, what do you think? Do you think anong ginagawa mo ngayon as of now?

Philippe: So yung mga kasi if you’re doing contact creation hindi you can’t automate that yet eh hindi pa ano ano hindi pa

Na you can integrate. It’s easy. Seconds lang makakapag-create ka na ng concept.

Philippe: So yung promps may integration na. So may promps and then Canva again. Canva. Wow.

Arnel: Tapos ah logo creation.

Philippe: Pero it’s still under your inputs. So it’s still halimbawa wala ka wala pang walang output kung wala ka.

Arnel: Yes. Kailangan job to conceptualize it. Like for example, gagawa ka ng ah create me a uh an artwork image for real estate. Bibigyan ka niya. Tapos can you add circle? Can you add background? Can you add something like this? Wala siyang sariling ano eh. Wala siyang sariling concept but you have to ah prompt. You have to command para ma-create niya talaga hanggang sa ikaw ang mag-finalize pa rin.

Philippe: So safe ka? Safe ka. sa talaga siya.

Arnel: Yes. And then the advantage is kung kaya mong gawin sa isang client yan add more clients. Mas mapapadali mo yung trabaho mo sa kanila. So advantage siya. Malaking advantage sa kanya. Hindi siya threat actually.

Philippe: Si what’s your name? Vea. Vea. Ano anong role ni Vea ngayon?

Bea: Training assistant and executive assistant.

Philippe: So training assistant. Sa executive assistant kasi ano um hindi pa you’re not you’re not replaceable yet. Pero sa training assistant, are you in danger of losing your job?

Bea: I don’t think so. Kasi sa training um kailangan pa rin eh ipapakita mo pa rin kung sino ka as a trainer. Tapos ‘yung connection mo with the trainees hindi mapapalitan yan ng AI. Mm. Kahit na sabihin mo with a tone of like this still ikaw pa din yun. Yung personal touch mo pa din nung naandon when you talk with the traines.

Andrea: Actually kung ang business mo kasi is in you’re selling services ‘di ba? May mga automation. Oo. Pero if you’re selling services, you’re connecting with people eh. So may human intervention. That’s the difference. If you’re selling products is automate mo lang yan.

Philippe: So why don’t we discuss you ano what are the jobs na mao-overtake ng AI within the next years? Sabihin natin I think that’s an interesting part kasi we need to know which is which is expendable in terms of Yes.

Andrea: Um siguro unang-una niyan as I see it content writers. Ah ba copywritters. The more you feed, the more you train, the better your AI will produce, you know, good content. So, at first, initially may human intervention kasi ikaw magte-train eh bilang tao ganyan. Pero siguro alang gano. Hindi naman totally
mare-replace kasi ikaw pa naman magre-refine non and all. However, talagang malaking decrease.

Philippe: Okay. Ah so they’re not safe. So yung mga ano siguro yung mga content writers ngayon or yung mga technical writers, naku, mag-upskare na kayo sa ibang skills.

Andrea: Totoo. o kaya they learn how to use AI on their advantage. Pwede iyun eh. Kagaya nung sinabi ni Arnel, the more na gumagamit ka ng AI to be efficient and productive, mas kaya mong tumanggap ng multiple clients. ‘Di ba? May naattendan akong AI na conference. Nakapagsulat siya ng libro using and chat GPT.

Philippe: The problem is still they are I think the first siguro they’re the first wave na mababawasan talaga. Mababawasan. Oo. Yeah. First way. Kasi it’s all about writing na eh. Chat GPT came out with um more on the on the right ups more on the textbased um intelligence ba

Andrea: kasi if a person can write yes kung writer ka magaling ka sa writing however kung ima-match ka dun sa taong equip with ikaw traditional writer ka dun sa isa konti lang ang idea niya writing pero kaya niya mag-automate mag-prompt ng AI. Mmm. Le-level yun.

Philippe: So talagang ano um we have to warn those ano content writers now. So mag-shift na kayo. Wala na mag-shift. No choice right? Yes.

Mm. napapansin nila na it’s too engineered. Walang natural. Like I’ve read uh last the other day AI can write you a joke but AI cannot make a funny thing. Cannot be funny. Walang humor. Walang humor.

Philippe: So they know if it’s uh AI generated or real. Yes. Kahit may mga spinners don, I think uh I think intelligent na rin ‘yung mga ano uh Google algorithms. You know what’s real or not. Yeah.

Andrea: Ang problem ngayon kasi sine-sensationalize lang nila yung AI too much. Yes. Long before may mga AI na din ‘di ba? Halimbawa yung mga engineers, y’yung mga people work with numbers. Mhm.

Philippe: Yes. Yes. It’s our input pa din calculator. Oo ‘ ba.

Andrea: So they’re using tools already. Too much sensationalism lang talaga yan.

Philippe: True, true. Pero content writers and technical writers, they’re in danger of losing their jobs. It can decrease substantially. And with the decrease, talagang lose their jobs, ‘di ba? So, okay. Let’s talk about a different profession naman. Apart from writers, sino? Next guys kayo sa tingin niyo sinong pwedeng mawalan ng what you do

At the same time, maka-cut din yung transcription. Mm. So, mababawasan yung C dito. Though ang pangit is maapektuhan yung oras nung VA, pero mag-isip tayo ng way para mas maging better, mag-benefit yung sa B.

Andreas: Sa part kasi ng management ano yan eh ah titingnan mo yung cost efficiency tsaka re-allocation of resources.

Philippe: Well, in terms of management, if you think about it, uh, like that. Oo, commercially. Oo. Oo. Nasa management level tayo. So, what ang what we desire is less more efficient in terms of cost effective in terms of hiring style? M and they would rather invest in tools. I’ll give you guys one ano example. I’m not sure if you guys are aware of. This was I talked to a friend of mine one two years ago.

Okay. She’s she is an executive level in um in a big ano ba yung I don’t want to mention their name pero malaki sila. It’s their name starts with a yun na lang ang a and they’re global ha. So hindi lang sila BPO but they’re engineers and that. So the company starts with a letter A and um they’ve invested I think 1 B US dollars 1 B for AI and this was two years years or maybe a little more and this was way back.

So they invested in AI tools and then ang nangyari nagkaroon ng retrenchment ng , 10,000 employees worldwide except hindi nadamay ang Pinas because customer service apparently still we still hold the best customer service performance in Pinas. Okay?

But in other countries like Japan, US, Europe, , in total yung tinanggal nila. They were replaced with AI and this was two three years ago. Uh right now we don’t feel the effect pero yung mga employees back then wala lahat severance package kasi mas malaki yung mase-save nila in terms of operational cost. And I’m just not sure ano yung na-replace ha. But they said ang dami na ano. Mm. So I’m thinking one doon sa engineering part yun naisip ko ha kasi why do you need programmers encoders anymore? I think yan yyung next apart from writers programmers. M yes ‘ ba?

Oo nga yan. So if you’re good, if you’re for example kami, um ako my profession developer, right? Um I know how to program. I know pero ‘yung mga iba for example programmer Python or ‘yung mga ah Oracle programmers hindi na kailangan ng programmers. You just tell AI what to do, it programs you. So I think they’re next in in line yung mga programmers. Kasi chat GBT hindi ako hindi ako rockstar programmer ha. Pero if I can’t solve if I can’t solve a problem or if I want to create a solution for a certain problem, I’ll just tell chat create me a a plugin na ganito ganyan and it works. Mawawala ng ano mga programmers designers not so much UI designers kasi o kasi yung I for design eh. Exactly. Hindi kaya ibigay ni AI yung I for design.

Exactly. Pero pag programming sabi mo CSS mo lahat to HDML kahit the simplest form naku you’re in you’re in trouble right? Hindi sila aware feeling ng iba puro VA ng trabaho but they’re not sure that engineers programmers sila mga ano architect for architectural engineers and all they do the math and all that wala architects in the other hand they’re safe sa creativity but uh engineers in general yung gumagawa ng structural blueprints and all this with the calculation the load and all that well they’re also in danger but not directly kasi I don’t think any construction company will be interested in letting go I don’t think they’re confident enough that an a I can do a human’s work so I think iyun a next programmers mm ba how long how long para mag-aral ng programming let’s say Python how long years. fast track years but then let’s say a company like “A” ba’t kita ih-hire sa AI can do everything can do your job in less than minutes I kailangan mo yan minutes no alam mo

Like you mention sa programming. O classmate ko nag-aral years ako minaster kayong AI.

Philippe: E AI specialist meaning magaling ma-prompt. Oo ‘yon ba? Oh who’s next? Who’s next in the line na mawawala ng trabaho? Ikaw para tayong na-eradicate ng mga tao. Hindi. We We’re warning them in the fact. We’re warning them. So kasi yung iba lipat ka na. Writer ka na lipat ka na. Oo. Mm. Wala. Reality. A a genzy can beat you kahit years experience. A Gen Z can beat you with a couple of proms. Oo.

Andrea: You mention Jeny. Si si si Gabina bata-bata ba. I mean yung yung take iba iba kasi eh ‘ ba. Ay ito yung tanong ko.

Philippe: Ito this is an important topic for him in terms of AI kasi for example ito nag-aaral ng piloto. Mm. Mm. So if we have autonomous cars, malapit na magkaroon ng autonomous air aircrafts. Ba it could be drones, it could be aircraft, commercial. Actually cargo meron na. Yes. Yung autoan auto takeof. Yes. So hi, this your is your AI pilot today. I’ll be working from [Musika] home

Gab: Actually for that sector wherein doon sa aircraft industry may mga students na studying ground school. So I think uh there would be a huge difference kung they do it ng um actual actual yung pag-aaral nila ng ano ng ground school nila for flying school. So pag AI naman, I think it’s a in the long run, it will be a huge um uh improvement lalo na sa part ng mga aircrafts and mga pilots natin. Yeah. But for the academe sector naman um for AI’s there are actually AI checkers na. So those are what the professors use para makita nila if the student is actually using AI. So if there is a meron merong ano check.

Bea: But funny thing is for example yung mga college students tapos um I have I have because I’m a former teacher. Tapos iaano nila ilalagay nila sa AI detector which is coming from them naman daw talaga nade-detect na AI daw siya.

Gab: So how well at some point they can see if it’s AI and actually AI plus human human written iyung submission.

Andrea: So may certain percentage eh.

Gab: Yes, my percentage for them to check % AI, % ikaw mismo gumawa. And I think my structure ‘yun. So syempre teachers are known na parang they know their students at some point na syempre yun yung tinuturuan nila. So they know the students capabilities. So if that certain student not judging that student pero they know na capability ng student na iyon seeing na ay kaya ba nitong gumawa ng ganito ka wellworded structured na essay. I think the solution is pwedeng ipagawa ulit or ipa-defense niya na ginagamit e TurnItIN.

Philippe: Okay. So ano next na next job role na mawawala mawawala sa industry kasi ano eh kanina pilot right?

Arnel: So next finance kasi meron na ngayong I have I have a client Yeah. who is an AI expert with debt collection automation lahat siya ng sariling manining magre-remind mag mag uh mag ah liquidate or lahat ng ano na yon and then ang pinaka-last na ano is yung payment na without human intervention

Philippe: That’s ano na that’s um anong tawag daka micaka sa mga bs accounting wala Ano? Ano na?

Andrea: Oo. An example si zero. Zero is an accounting software. Zero can provide you a profit and loss report. Basta na-feed mo lahat doon in seconds pa no? Oo. Receips, invoices.

Philippe: Should we mention the bank na tinutukoy mo

Andrea: Meron may mga bank na ngayon kasi yung dalawang B meron silang ganon dalawang B oo na pwede ka na magde ako gumagamit ako e pagka magde-deposit ako at ayokong pumila e ang haba ‘di ba time consuming eh yes so dun na ako sa cam. Mmm.

Philippe: Pero tinay ko ‘yun ah. Yung deposit works the machine where you can deposit cash. I think that works. Ang hindi the thing that doesn’t work is iyung ATM with the fingerprint and the

Andrea: Ay ako I never tried that kasi medyo ano ako.

Philippe: Ako I tried it. I tried it. Just curious lang ako eh. Um Did it work? So slow. pa rin po yung pin and hindi ma-recognize yung fingerprint ko at yung mukha ko. Ah ganon? Yes. Lalo pag gabi or hapon ano yung tamle sa fingerprint ‘ ba

Philippe: Si si dalawang kailangan mag-invest sa AI yon pero yun nga bank tellers is a good actually that’s a very interesting so feedback eh okay so accounting firms they’re going to fire all of their ano accounting BS accountants right so mga hindi na hindi na I don’t think if you have a kahit sabihin CPA ka may credential wala na AI is gonna remove your CPA relation

Andrea: Kasi oo sa virtual assistance sa tagal ko hindi tinatanong ng client CPA ka ba may license ka ba o they don’t care as long as you cut your tax kaya mong gawin yon oo totoo yun

Philippe: Tapos lalo malalaman uy mas mura pala mag mag-a kaysa magba mm e ‘di ba

Just this year ah rather last quarter of meron ng client na nagsabi sa akin non, “Andrea, I need a VA who is familiar with AI.

Philippe: Scary. Scary. Especially sa finance scary. That’s very scary. Ang next naisip ko which is kind of related to yours kasi is um um what’s your industry? Anong tawag sa industry niyo? Flight industry. Pilot. Aviation. Aviation. Okay. Hindi siya part of aviation but it is ano yung uh mga space rockets.

For example yung kay Elon Musk ba ano yun AI guided yung spaceships niya landing right? Tapos landing on an AI um operated ship on sea ‘ ba. AI assisted yun and landing ng rocket ship doon sa fork ‘di ba? AI assisted. So even going to space AI na. Mm. Ah e what about on sea yung mga ano sea-freights yung mga malalaking ships.

Oo. Yes. Meron meron ng mga taxa.

Philippe: This is challenge for AI. This is a challenge for AI. You know why? You think

Yeah. Kasi organized yung lugar like doon sa Subic. Yes. Sa Makati. Yes. Yes.

Philippe: Hindi mangyayari ‘yun. I’ll tell you why. Mawawalan sila ng ano eh.

AndreaL Hindi yun ia-approve ng government.

Philippe: Yes. Won paano sila kikita? Mm. ‘Di ba? Oo. Otherwise may overal.

Andrea: Pero kaya alam mo yung Sorry ha. Ewan ko. Baka ma-take daw iyung page mo.

Philippe: No. Sige, go. We’re a
podcast of controversial topics. Yun yung ano eh.

Oo.

Andrea: Hindi naman sila profit eh. They’re not they’re not a company or business that gusto ng profit. So ano ba gusto nila? Ilalagay sa bulsa nila. Ganun siya. Pero alam mo parang ano, mababansagan tayo ditong firing
squad. Isa-isang pina-fire sa trabaho.

Philippe: No. But we have they have they have to know. Yes. Yes. O they have to know. Pero very good inputs si Arnel. Very very very excellent input. Finance pa lang wala na. Mm. So ngayon kinakabahan ngayon ng mga accounting students, right? Ba yun tanong

Andrea: Pero safe yung medical. You just use your app alam mo na yung BP. M well an Apple Watch can do that. Yeah, an Apple Watch. I don’t know how accurate yung bagay na yun.

Um I saw a video recently na experimental ano lang to ah experimental procedure. They use AI to detect uh breast cancer sa mga women. So na-detect siya parang it took only a few days to detect compared to made-detect siya in years time na stage na. Mm. So na-detect yung cancer before nag lumaki siya into stage one or two. So it’s a very early ano. So it’s very effective. It saves
lives. And when it comes to surgery itself, yung mga alam mo may mga robot hands na eh pero guided pa din. Guided pa din by surgeons.

Andrea: Kaya lang ang ano diyan accountability. Pwede mo bang sisihin yung ano ay yung robot yung nagkamali eh.

Philippe: Pero feeling ko pumasok na pumasok ‘yung AI is in medicine but it’s not spread ano kasi syempre sila din mawawalan ng ano esp

AndreaL Siguro sa mga diagnosis pwede.

Philippe: Yes. Yun yun yun yun. Tama.

hospital. Okay. Meron sila meron na talagang mga engineered na mga equip medical equipments pero it cost millions of millions talaga.

Philippe: And I don’t think matagal ma-adopt adopt kasi doctors won’t agree na ah can AI diagnose you? Mm. ‘Di ba? Pero wala pa tayo doon. But there’s a lot of movies about it na lumalabas pero hindi imposible eh. Kasi iyung mga sci-fi movies back then it was impossible to have autonomous. Yes, it’s happening now. Everything that we watch in the past, it’s happening now. Kulang na lang project na nila e. Tapos may space travel na tayo, right? Uh people are people want to go to Mars, people are investing in space travel. So I think it’s happening ‘ ba. AI nga was sci-fi back then. Right now it’s happening. Pero hindi pa sila sentient meaning they could think for themselves ‘ ba? Thinking na uy I have feelings. I know this. I know what’s wrong, what’s right ‘di ba? So wala pa tayo doon. Nandon pa rin tayo sa initial phase where we’re we’re using it as tools.

Andrea: So ano next ano about kung pag-usapan natin yung job na hindi mare-replace ng AI like funeral homes hindi naman pwedeng i-work from home yung involver uuwi muna ako sa bahay. Dadalhin ko yung patay doon kasi involve ko doon. Work from home. Work from home ka. Embalmer ka. I mean those are makes a lot of sense. May machine.

Philippe: Ay I think machine pa din. Pwede naman magmachine. Ah ito kasi okay this is not Hindi hindi siya I mean

Arnel: Kasi ung halimbawa ah namatay siya dahil nga na-murder siya. Hindi pwedeng iano ng
machine yun eh.

Philippe: Is the sila din yung when they do an autopsy I’m not familiar with an when someone does an autopsy iba pa din yyung kasi they need their signature as well yung nag-autos to find the cause of death embalmer is just fina-facilitate lang siguro ah pero iba yung yung nag-o-autopsy talaga it’s pero silang nagbibigay ng result doon sa license like because I have a friend na mer talaga siya.

Anong nangyayari? Ano ‘yung cause ng siguro co-signee? I see I see I
see kasi licensya eh.

Philippe: Malay mo baka St. Peter invested in AI o eh si St. Peter high tech.

Andrea: How about ano teachers?

Bea: Connection pa rin po ah the connection with the kids with the learners different pa rin po yung binibigay na sympathy empathy ng isang teacher when it comes to learning. Ah there are different learning um dahil sa
book. Yes, pwede siyang palitan ni AI. But learning from what you experience from the teacher and the life itself? Hindi.

Philippe: Have you seen the movie name Mother? Sa Netflix siya. Watch it. It’s scary. Not in a sense it’s a it’s a sci-fi movie. Mm. But in it’s scary in a sense where yung yung AI na robot yung nanny AI powered robot is the mother who raised the child. And that’s just a movie that we could watch now. 10 years from now, it could happen. It could happen. Yeah. And then iyung in the movie, the child grows up na emotional, malambing ano? So she’s scared and and the the robot is just ano lang parang robotic pa din eh. Parang don’t be scared. In-explain lang niya.

Andrea: Walang emotions.

Ah so that’s what we think right now. Pero what if in the future magkakaroon ng connection? If they could adapt with the way they could write a story and create a book, why can they adapt with?

Andrea: Pero kasi if we’re going to look at it, you can raise but you cannot nurture using an AI

Philippe: Probably.

AndreaL But the new nurturing is different kasi talaga from racing lang.

Philippe: True, true. I agree. I agree kasi ba

Andrea: I mean it’s a design pa din talaga for a family pero it can be possible because of the rise of the information. Like yung mga bata ngayon pag sinabi mong gen ano sila yung alpha and then beta.

Arnel: So feeling nila entitled sila sa lahat ng bagay. They’re more advanced than us. Mm. Posible yun. Ang danger diyan we in the future magre-raise ng bata na walang emotion but intellect robotic magiging robotic siya eh. And well, the danger is it will it will bring more rebellious kids, entitled kids. Kasi oh halimbawa may mga traditional for example I’m a traditional father. Tapos in the future sasabihin ko sa mga bata, “Os no that’s not that’s not what I I said. That’s not what I’ve learned from because advance iyung information nila rather than the traditional father.” That’s a danger. Parents can that’s why sabi mo sabi ni Philip kanina possible iyun years from now. Walang imposible yun eh because nag-i-innovate iyan eh. Tama. Tama.

Philippe: And maybe in years time maybe to the yan Gen alpha or ano Gen beta beta na lang kasi sila iyung wala na tayo by that time e. M by time maybe yung sinasabi mong nurture is now part of part of nature na. Tama ba? Nature and nurture ba? So parang syempre nurture kasi laming warmth and all that. Maybe in the future that’s not the case anymore. Heartless na. Maybe heartless. Functional. Functional. No emotions functional for surviving mor.

You hear that?

Oo. Yung bang tawag nila doon? Engineer ano tawag n invitro IVF. invitro fertilization

Philippe: Pero invitro is through a human being

Andrea: Pero may test babies yun

Philippe: Pero yung test babies sinasaksak pa din sa tao how about yung yung labies talaga m who were grown artificial womb meron meron na mga cloning and all that meron talaga which we watch in the movies before years ag cloning e

Andrea: Ngayon may cloning na totoo na yon tama tama baka nga yung hindi natin alam yung mga nakakasalubong natin mga ai na yun No baka may isang araw no normal people ay yung AI humahal sa normal people may again napapanood din natin yun may movie na yan in the past na naglalakad sila mukhang tao peOkay, here is the cleaned version of that last part of the transcript, removing the numbers pero mga ano pala sila mga robot pala mga aa pala sila I think

Philippe: I know the movie invasion ata mm nag-e-eradicate na ng mga ano yun pala humans pala yyung pumunta to eradicate them kasi they’re the ones who took over interesting Js na

Andrea: Ako I want to hear from you guys. How about yung sa hospitality? Mm. Virtual receptionist na yung nakaano na screen na. Okay. What? I’m going to check in back.

Philippe: I’m not saying it’s a low level job but all I’m saying as a receptionist concerge concerge ano uh yeah shift na kayo ng careers na tayo no sa concer asan po yung ano saan yung ah yellow cab dito ay sir second floor next minute you know ano na ai yellow c oh

Andrea: Malls are already adopting it pagunta ka sa ‘ ba may malakas silang ganon pindutin m okay director three restaurants before we’re just asking yung iyung mga guards tsaka concern right now ano na

Shane: Some of the fast food restaurant din po like Jol in Cebu ata po yun meron po silang robot yung servers yung nagse-serve meron na po sa mga Jollibee and McDonald rin po pwede ka na mag-order via doun po sa machine doon na talaga nire-require kaser mism soa na tayo ng mga waiters yes hindi na kailangan magtip [Tawanan] Possible yan.

Andrea: Pero another problem, may nakita ako na nag ah pumalya yung robot. Parang nagwala, natapon yung mga pagkain. Oh no.

Philippe: Rebellion na yon. Rebelion. Kasi ‘ ba let’s say ah naging ah parang humina battery hindi mo na-charge or whatever. Short circuit ba yan? Terminator. Ano na? Terminator

Arnel: Pero walang accountability yung AI like sa tao. Bakit mo ginawa yan?

Philippe: It’s it’s a big as of now ha in the future give it another sabihin natin give it another years maybe we’ll see. Wala na tayong waiters.

JP: Possible parang sa ano yung parang last time sa Baguio. Ah talaga? Magme-make face sa good taste yan. Oo sa good taste.

Andrea: Sa music industry may nakakapag-compose na ng Oo excuse pero composer again that’s a good It can compose pero it can give cannot give you a tune. Example, yung binagsak mo nung nag-judge ka. Hinih nila yung kanta. Kaya pala bagsak kayo. It can make a a lyrics but it cannot give a tune. Tama. Tama. No. That’s interesting kasi how would they know kung original composition yyung kanta?

Philippe: Right. Yes. Ah, good, good, good one. That’s a good one. So, from writers to musicians now, ano pa yung dalawa nakaupo doon. Sino yung ano? May mga thoughts kayo about AI. Okay. Videographers ma are they gna is AI going to replace videographers sa tingin niyo?

Ah but they could create something different.

Philippe: Pilipino bias. Masyado tayo. Yeah. So safe ang ah ito. Okay. Forget videographers. Video editors. Yan. May mga apps na yan. May mga apps na. Right.

Andrea: Hindi man totally mage-get kasi sino man magfi-feed non sa bagay. And actually everything else here is ano may input ng may input pero siguro nga made-decrease significantly.

Philippe: Could be. Could be. Lalo yung mga basic. For example, social media reels stories, pictures and all that. Yan, large or work smart not work hard.

McClaine: Work smarter not harder. Not harder.

Philippe: Mm. That too. Papasok na lang yung creativity in directing yung style. Yun yyung style. That’s that’s what AI can’t follow yet AI. Pero right now ba may AI for video generation right for chat GPT as well. I can’t remember what the name was pero ano pa din siya in in beta mode pa din siya.

Andrea: Recently last week meron akong nais hindi ako hindi ako na-discover. Meron akong narinig from the client. Um I don’t know kung isa si Veron doon sa umattend ng interview. You can check out Cintra AI. Ayun nga. Yun nga. That one. Cintra. He can the the Cintra can provide you with twelve employees. Business development manager, SEO, social media, customer service, virtual assistant, marketing manager.

Philippe: Yes. Under how much? Magkano ang Sintra? Yun ang hindi ko alam. And yun nga it has to okay kung they can provide twelve employees that you can control is it much more cost efficient. So let’s say magkano siya so far.

Andrea: Pero kasi si Oo you can check. Kaya lang if it’s twelve employees rather than paying twelve people actual persons magkano din yun? I mean kasi positioning hindi kasi if you’re going to position yourself dapat alam mo alam mo yung edge mo.

Wow for twelve.

Gab: Pero for below minimum yun ah. Yeah. For one employee for one employee. For one employee per month. Per month.

Andrea: Kung isa-isa lang ang ifa-function mo. Isa-isa lang. Yeah. Per month. Ano yung package? twelve employees package. Oh my god. Sin plan.

Philippe: And they’ll work hours a day. M ang tanong ko lang itong mga AI, what about in language barrier? I’m sure mabilis sila mag-adapt. So for example in Tagalog operations in the Philippines in Tagalog will it work? Will they get our slangs, our dialectics or will it work? Kasi English okay given. Yeah. What about in in our language? Kaya ba nila magbisaya?

Philippe: In the English language it’s getting there na pero dito sa foreign language

Andrea: Matagal pa siguro kasi if you’re using an English language you can use it as a note taker mas madali ang transcription pero kung ikaw ay nagfilipino or other dialects hindi nila kaya yun sabi mo kay Jack Mawata

Philippe: What else? What else other roles careers that ano na hindi ma-replace or mare-repl? Mare-replace o mare-replay. Huwag na involver kasi firing squad tayo dito. Oo. We have to find out ano kasi we’re warning that we’re doing a good thing eh ba? Oo. ‘Di ba?

Andrea: Kaya squid game nga.

Philippe: What other careers that can be replaced today by AI? Lawyers ba? Kailang investigation and evidence and all that.

Witness. Kailangan.

Philippe: Oh, have you seen this video yung two AI talking to each other? No, there’s there’s a video circling around ano siya. So, they tested like an AI ano hotel assistant. Yes. Tapos yung isa may AI na EA wants to book a Hotel. So, oo two AI talking to each other. Iyung isa introduce, I’m an AI assistant na ganito and then the hotel assistant was like, I’m also an AI. And then they they said, “Why don’t we talk in in Jibberlink, which is AI language, is just much more efficient.” It’s over the phone line. It’s over the phone line.

They started talking parang R2D2 yung sa Star Wars yung puro noise lang. And then they they got to communicate more a little faster and much more efficient. So they knew which what data they needed. So what if lawyers were kind of like that? O sig ai lawyer AI lawyer where the you’re the suspect the victim whatever they communicate in their language to ano with the judge pa. That could happen right

Arnel: Pero I think maging possible pa rin siya in the future. Could be. Yeah.

Andrea: I would say so. Siguro representation pwede. Mmm. Yeah, that could work. Ba for representation. Pero yung ibang mga judicial proceedings hindi.

Philippe: Let’s talk about ano um non-skilled jobs or jobs that don’t require you know certificate as a skill. Let’s talk about housekeeping, um, street sweeping, uh, cleaning in general.

Andrea: They’re not safe. Pwede. May na. Oo, hindi safe. Mm. Bakit? Eh sa bahay na lang eh. O, may ‘ ba may ano na Robovac Robo Robovac.

Philippe: Sa bagay may window cleaner din. Mm.

Andrea: Mmm. Lahat na lang.

Philippe: I think there’s a I think there’s one industry that we haven’t tapped which is ito talaga malaking bawas manufacturing. Ay mm manufacturing of all the products in retail everything production in general consumption of any type of product. Product of this this kotse nga iyung kay Elon Musk in Tesla automated na lahat. Ang dami ng layoff. Yes. Massive. Massive. So what about ano manufacturing let’s say ng um ano yung favorite ano natin? Sardines. Mga sardines dito sa local ‘di ba?

Packaging din. For packaging automated na din. Oo. Kaning yon. Pero yung cleaning ng fish hindi pa din or kaya sa ibang bansa meron sa ibang bansa yung salmon parang nade-detect yung salmon pero anything other than for example French fries or yacult or ano pa yun wala na process talaga siya so factory workers meron pa din wala in risk ba sila are they in risk

Arnel: Possible din kasi nga may mga kwan na eh ah kapag sinabi ka AI it involves machine y technology yup so kaya talaga siya possible din apos hours pa si

Vea: Pero naalala ko yung movie ni ano chocolate ano si Wonka ‘ ba si Charlie Factory ‘ ba si daddy nag-aano nagma-manual ng pagsi-seal nung cap tapos right therein din nagano na nagkaroon na ng robot mm parang he’s a factory worker doon so nawala siya nawala siya ng trabaho So possible talaga na mawawala tayo ng

Philippe:Okay. What about I have another ano what

Andrea: about Cato? Ah pltry. Can it be AI operated? Farming yan. Partly pero hindi talary. Yes.

Yun pwede ah alternative plan base. Oh yeah yan kaya.

Arnel: Tapos mayro’n na ding meat na machine ang gumawa ‘yung parang D printer pero ano yeah na machine talaga nung tinikman nila lasang ano talaga totoong beef so pero plant siya plant example kung magiging magkaroon ng improvement ang wala ng farm wala ng farm wala so wala na most likely wala ng mapo-produce na mga animals so people will turn into switch into artificial artificial mm kasi mas walang labor pero mas malaking kita nila so they will they will purchase machines to do that

This might be controversial pero that’s the reality na mas nakakamura silang bilhin ang galing sa ibang bansa rather than purchasing or buying dito sa locals natin. So if I’m a farmer gagawin ko na lang sige I will bigyan niyo na lang kami ng machine.

Philippe: Eh ngayon nga full of of steroids na yung mga chicken natin beef and yung as ba and we just eat them and everything in beef has steroids kaya mo mataba yyung baboy mataba yung beef pala just full of steroids yan okay any other ano any other careers

Arnel: I mean if a country gusto niyang tumaas ang kanyang income, i-adopt niya ang inadapt na ibang bansa. Ah for example sa Dubai may pulis ‘di ba na nag-overspeed yung ano walang sasakyan yung police car pero minaringan niya yung nag-overspeed overspeeding? Walang ta walang ano yun AI yon.

Andrea: O pero you cannot get rid of the police totally. Yeah. Ba oo lalo sa

Philippe: Unless naging ano yung ba yung yung nilabas ni Ilon mas humanoids. Mm ‘ ba yung humanoids na nilabas niya kasi that’s gna be AI powered ‘ ba. They’re gna think they’re going to be your nanies, they’re going to be your drivers, they’re going to be ano that’s farfetch naman from now. From now. Pero give it another years baka reality na iyan.

Andrea: Pero ako kasi ang take ko diyan I believe ah yung mga elders natin ngayon elderly natin they were able to adapt to technology gradually diba for them kung ano yung technology natin ngayon that’s too much for them on their standpoint the same way kung generation alpha or generation beta that’s too much for us pero they can adapt sila iyung generation nila they can adapt to that for sure.

Philippe: For sure. No problem there. Tsaka we’re in the age of highspeed information kasi. Mm. So high speed na na-overclock tayo. Sobrang ano ah overload of information.

Andrea: Dadating kasi sa point na whether you’re like it or not, you have to embrace change. A very good example, Jeepney drivers. Tagal nilang inilaban yan eh. E-Jeep, E-Jeep ganyan. Gradually meron na. Althoughhindi pa sila nafe-face out lahat pero wala silang nagawa. Yung iba they just embrace it.

Philippe: Pero it’s too slow kasi ang nangyari doon yung facing out too slow too slow. Money talks again. And I don’t think ano I don’t think farmers would be happy to use AI. They don’t trust it. And mahal. Yes. Mahal. Yeah. In in our case sa Pinas, right?

In other countries, ibang topic yan. Pero yan.

Oh, last call. We’re an hour na. Last call. usapan 15 minutes last call ano any other careers who was in danger i-warning natin

Andrea: Huling posisyon na [Tawanan] ifa-fire o

Philippe: Any other thoughts kaya pwedeng ma-replace ba yan mga parlor mga beautician parlor barbers feeling ko hindi hindi no feeling ko hind what do you think

It was an old movie pero hindi siya sci-fi movie or anything. There’s this guy si ano pa si Basta luma siya. He created a celebrity na visual lang parang pero hindi AI siya pero visual lang. Tapos when she talks siya pala yung nagsasalita. May voiceover lang. Cloning din kasi ‘ ba hindi siya cloning. It’s just visual. It’s just lumalabas lang si TV pero they never see her in in real life.

Philippe: Grabe. So they could So actors no? Mm. And they’ll never grow old. Perfect pa. Perfect everything.

So mas bata mas fresh.

Philippe: Sobra Walang emotion yan. Walang emotion.

Andrea: So hindi kita mami-miss.

Philippe: Nag-time travel yan ba nakakita niyo lahat eh. Okay. Are we good? Wala ng ano, wala ng ibang career. Pero that’s a good one. Ah, that’s good one. Shan,

Andrea: Sa susunod na natin sila ipagfa-fire. Baka wala na tayong ma-collect na taxes. Wala ng trabaho lahat.

Philippe: Okay. Okay. So, we’re good. Mm. All good.

Thank you. Thank you for this podcast. It was fun.
